● The cylinder body is made of all-aluminum material, and the surface is covered with silent heat preservation material.
At present, Yingjieli engine still follows the concept of "500mL" single cylinder, and the displacement of each cylinder is 0.5L, which is the same as that of BMW. The main parts of the engine, including the cylinder head, cylinder block and oil pan, are all made of aluminum, which is the same as before. But the difference is that in order to achieve better noise reduction and heat preservation functions, a large area of soft sound insulation material is added to the cylinder surface to improve NVH effect.




The piston connecting rod is made by expanding and breaking technology, that is, the connecting rod body and the tile cover are originally a whole, and then the two parts are forcibly pulled apart by machinery after processing. The advantage of this technology is that the cross sections of the connecting rod and the tile cover are one-to-one correspondence, and the combination is very tight after recombination, and the transverse shear force is also strong. In addition, the piston rod part has been strengthened to cope with the higher load of the engine.

The cylinder head is mainly made of aluminum alloy. The technology worth mentioning is the integrated exhaust manifold design. The advantage of the integrated design is that the engine can use the high exhaust temperature to achieve better heat exchange, with the characteristics of high warm-up speed, timely arrival of warm air in winter, and optimized exhaust. This technology is also adopted by many OEMs.




The exhaust manifold is integrated in the cylinder head, which has the advantage of compact structure, and the water temperature rises rapidly after cold start. Nowadays, many engines adopt the same design concept. The exhaust manifold on the cylinder head has two outlets, which are used to match the double scroll single turbocharger. The two exhaust scrolls are independent of each other, and the exhaust pulses do not interfere with each other, thus achieving better exhaust efficiency and improving the intake situation.
● The 48V generator at P0 position can improve NVH performance and fuel economy.
The 48V light mixing system is one of the biggest changes of the new machine. The all-in-one generator is installed in the position of the original starter, providing extra power through the belt. Compared with the traditional automatic start-stop, the 48V system can provide additional torque assistance under the conditions of high fuel consumption such as static start, and also has the advantages of fast starting speed and good starting smoothness. The upgrade cost of the whole system is much cheaper than that of many hybrid power systems (such as Toyota THS and Honda i-MMD).


Compared with the traditional hybrid power system, the 48V system has limited fuel-saving ability, but compared with the pure fuel version engine, it still has certain energy-saving potential, especially under some extremely low load conditions, the engine can be stopped for a short time, thus reducing fuel consumption.
● The continuously variable valve lift controlled by electromagnetic oil pressure is one of the highlights of the new machine.
The intake and exhaust sides of Yingli engine are equipped with valve timing system, and the purpose of adjusting the intake and exhaust timing is realized by adjusting the phase of sprocket with the solenoid valve at one end of camshaft. The principle of the timing system is basically the same as that of other brands of engines. By adjusting the valve phase, the intake demand of the engine under different working conditions can be met, and the dynamic response at low speed and the combustion efficiency at high speed can be improved.


The continuously variable valve lift system is a highlight of the new model. The system is set on the intake side, and the hydraulic pump is controlled by solenoid valve to adjust the length of valve tappet, so as to realize the purpose of adjusting valve lift. The valve lift of the intake side is stepless adjustment, and the lift range is between 0-11 mm.



As for the fuel injection system, Yingjieli engine adopts high-pressure common rail fuel injection system. At present, the fuel injection pressure of AJ20 engine is 200bar, and the fuel injection pressure of AJ21 engine in the future will be further increased. The piston side is coated with a dark anti-wear coating, and the labyrinth oil-gas separator is located at the top of the cylinder head. These are the anti-friction and separation forms that many mainstream models will adopt.






Considering that the national VI emission standard also puts forward restrictions on particulate emissions, in order to meet the standard, it is found that the Sports Edition has made changes in tail gas treatment and added a particulate collection device at the back of the three-way catalytic converter. However, with the increase of mileage, the particulate matter in the collection device is blocked, so it is found that the sports version also has a pressure sensor on the device. Once the risk of blockage is detected, the system will automatically increase the engine speed to burn these blockages.
