The presentation meeting of academic introductory tutor for 2021 undergraduates in Gaochun Institute of Artificial Intelligence was held.

On the afternoon of November 2nd, Gaochun Institute of Artificial Intelligence held a lecture for undergraduate academic introductory tutors. Wen Jirong, Executive Dean of the College, Dou Zhicheng and Zhang Guofu, Vice Presidents, and Liu Dongfeng, Head of the Practice Section of the Academic Affairs Office, attended the meeting. Twenty-three undergraduate tutors of the College and all the undergraduates of Class 2021 attended the meeting. Dou Zhicheng presided over the meeting.

Liu Dongfeng said that the academic introductory tutor system of Gaochun Institute of Artificial Intelligence is an effective way to help students master professional knowledge, and it also helps students to enhance their learning skills and improve themselves quickly. He hopes that students can explore the academic field, learn professional skills and feel the charm of scientific research under the guidance of your tutors.

Wen Jirong welcomes students to join Gao Xuan Institute of Artificial Intelligence. He said that the college attached importance to undergraduate training at the beginning of its establishment. The academic introductory tutor system aims to broaden students’ horizons, cultivate students’ innovative spirit and practical ability, lead students into academic research ahead of time, and help everyone to clarify the future research direction, integrate what they have learned into practice, brave the no-man’s land of cutting-edge research of artificial intelligence, and grow into innovative talents in scientific research and exploration.

Dou Zhicheng explained to the students the implementation method of the academic introductory tutor system, explained the tutor allocation rules, and clarified the tutor duties and job requirements. He said that academic introductory tutors should provide scientific research guidance for undergraduates who have spare capacity in learning on the premise of not having a great impact on students’ learning. One of the main points of the academic introductory tutor system is to cultivate students’ interest in scientific research. He suggested that students should balance scientific research and professional study, broaden their horizons in practice, and realize the comprehensive and coordinated development of knowledge, ability and quality.

Lin Ning, Wang Zihan and Guo Geyang, undergraduates of Grade 2020, shared their scientific research experiences and introduced the scientific research projects they participated in and their achievements in the projects. They also introduced the specific situation of daily scientific research activities, and shared their experience of participating in scientific research activities with the students.

In order to help each student choose a tutor more clearly, 23 full-time teachers of the college introduced their own research direction, teaching characteristics and student training.

The academic tutor system is an important supporting measure for Gaochun Institute of Artificial Intelligence to establish the student-oriented education and teaching concept and deepen the teaching reform, and it is also an effective way to strengthen the communication between teachers and students, promote teaching and learning, and guide and motivate students to innovate.
