Qian Xuesen is a pioneer and outstanding representative of China’s aerospace science and technology. He has made pioneering contributions in the fields of aerodynamics, aviation engineering, jet propulsion, engineering cybernetics, physical mechanics and other technical sciences. He is the founder and advocate of the theoretical and applied research of modern mechanics and systems engineering in China.
At the beginning of 1956, Qian Xuesen put forward "Opinions on Establishing China’s National Defense Aviation Industry" to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council. In the same year, Qian Xuesen was appointed to set up the first rocket and missile research institution in China.

More than four years after Huang Danian’s death, according to the strategic plan designed before his death, the team of Huang Danian has never forgotten his mission and worked hard to complete its unfinished business: around the national strategic plan of deep sea, deep space and deep ground, the team of mobile platform exploration center has carried out key research and development in many directions, such as the development of intelligent heavy-load geophysical special UAV platform, the development of airborne gravity gradiometer and the development of integrated geophysical data software platform for mobile platform, and achieved gratifying phased results.

Yuan Longping is a pioneer in the research and development of hybrid rice in China. Since 1980s, Yuan Longping and his team have trained more than 14,000 technical talents of hybrid rice for nearly 80 developing countries through the international class of hybrid rice technical training. At present, more than 40 countries and regions around the world have achieved large-scale planting of hybrid rice, and constantly created high-yield records in the local area. The annual planting area of global hybrid rice reaches 7 million hectares, which is generally more than 20% higher than that of local rice.
On September 5th, 2021, the second-generation hybrid rice "Chaoyouqian" began on-site yield measurement and acceptance in Mengzi Demonstration Base of Yuan Longping Super Hybrid Rice, located in Caoba Town, mengzi city, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The final yield measurement result was 1107.5 kg per mu, and the average yield per mu of 100 mu was over 1100 kg for four consecutive years.

Sun Jiadong is one of the pioneers in China’s artificial satellite technology and deep space exploration technology. As the chief designer of the first phase of lunar exploration project, he has made outstanding contributions to China’s breakthrough in basic satellite technology, satellite return technology, geostationary orbit satellite launch and fixed-point technology, navigation satellite networking technology and deep space exploration technology.
